From Mexico City, it is approximately 4 and a half hours from the first toll booth to the house. Alternatively, you can take the new toll road towards Zihuantanejo just after the last toll booth. This will save some time and the heavy traffic of Acapulco.

From the airport you can take one of the “official” taxis, the trip will take around 70 minutes and costs 800 pesos, if you're not more than two persons and two suitcases. If you're more than 2 persons they will ask you to take van, which 1200 pesos.

If you visit us as a group, you could rent a van, so the party already will start at home, you also save on gas and highway fees - and help the environment.

Ideas for your menue

Our staff will prepare you delicious meals. What is included for the food preparation is a breakfast served at 10:00 am and the large meal of day severed at 4:00 pm, with snacks prepared for you to serve later. Staff leaves at 6:00 pm. For budget purposes you can calculate 250 pesos per day per person, depending on how much seafood and meat you include in your menu.

Xochitl and her staff are excellent at cooking Mexican Dishes especially Seafood, would recommend that you select from those.

Breakfast:
• Fruits (Papaya, Melon, Watermelon, Pineapple)
• Orange Juice, Coffee
• Eggs at your like, favorite being “a la Mexicana” Scrambled w tomatoes, onion and some chili)
• Chilaquiles
• Enchiladas
• Sopes
• Toasted bread, marmalade
• Can also do Hotcakes, Bacon, Sausages, or other American Style

Dinner (outside at beach bar or pool, have a large coal barbecue in pool area:
• “Pescado a la talla” Grilled Fish, normally red snapper on coal grill at your sight, can also do steamed, fried, breaded
• “Camarones mariposa” Shrimps on charcoal grill
• Shrimps with garlic, red chili, breaded, fried, etc
• Pretty much all other Mexican dishes, try us!

Late night snacks:
• Some fruit and vegetables with dip as light snack
• “Ceviche”, raw fish “cooked” in lemon juice, yummie!
• Shrimp cocktails

For outside eating close-by there are three places I’d recommend:

• Tres Marias Both sea and lagoon side, good for breakfast and lunch, great seafood and nice atmosphere, gets crowded on weekends, have about 10 boats for tours and waterski
• Vayma Hotel Especially good and romantic at night, seaside with lounge styke bar and restaurant, good food, excellent pizza.. but also nice for a couple of drinks
• Barra de Coyuca end of the land strip, where lagoon meets sea, nice little palapa restaurants, simple and authentic sea-food
• Acapulco bay is about 30 minutes, plenty of restaurants of all kinds, also a couple of American style steak-houses

Grocery shopping:

If you want to do the grocery shopping before getting to us, here the most convenient options:

• Bodega Aurrera, about 10 minutes before getting to us
• Chedraui Pie de la Cuesta, about 15 minutes before getting to us
• Sams Club Acapulco, just after leaving the tunnel in Acapulco, about 30 minutes before getting to us
• Oxxo, about 5 minutes before getting to us

Close-by we have some small “tiendas” (mom and pop stores) and an Oxxo convenience store where you can get basic grocery (no meat, limited fruit & vegetable) and basically all beverages, including spirits. We have returnable bottles for beer, and ice coolers which you can use..

We recommend that you use our shopping service, it’s your vacation why spend hours in the store when you can be enjoying yourselves. Send us your menu for each meal along with any snacks and beverages and we will make the shopping list and everything will be there on your arrival. We charge nothing for this service you pay the cost of goods plus 5% for shopping and $200 peso to make the electronic shopping list. Require a deposit based on $250 pesos per person per night. Final cost is presented when shopping is completed along with receipts.

On the day of arrival please plan a simple meal and if you have to leave early on checkout day we can have a grab and go meal in the refrigerator for you to take.

Services which are included and have y no extra cost:

• Check-in after 3pm, chek-out before noon
• Daily cleaning of the house and rooms. Change of linens every week.

• Rooms: Sheets, Cushions, Bedspreads, Soap, Shampoo, towels for bathroom and beach
• Beach: Umbrellas and chairs for the beach
• Kitchen: 16'' refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine ,crockery,glassware, water in garafon, basic species

• Sun cream
• Mosquito repellent (especially during rainy season)

• BBQ charcoal
• Frying oil
• Ice
• Coconuts
• Firewood for bonfires

Hopuse rules and security

Here our house rules we ask you to respect:

• Unannounced guests or pets will be received only at the discretion of the host.
• Damage at the property, facilities or equipment will have to be paid at the cost of restitution before departure.
• It is not allowed to use glass inside or near the pool. It is not allowed to smoke inside the rooms.
• It is not allowed to have pets inside the pool, on top of sofas, beds or alone inside of the room. When staff is on site dogs must be kept under control.
• Music on the beach or outside the house is only allowed until 10 pm, we expect you to follow the instructions to moderate the volume.
• The staff has a schedule of 8 hours a day, regularly from 8am to 6pm. If you want service after those hours you can contact Marlene at the restaurant next door to make arrangements.

The house is located in a safe and quiet residential area with more beach houses, among our neighbors are Canadians and Americans. You will be out of the hustle and bustle of the Acapulco Bay - but close enough to visit the tourist attractions or vave dinner .
